The Riad looks amazing and the atmosphere inside is of calmness and setenity. You could really feel the richness of moroccan culture here. Also great breakfast and friendly host.
The beautiful decor, amazing breakfast and Azzddine went above and beyond to help us
We had amazing stay here for our first time in Marrakech. The staff are so friendly, attentive and welcoming. Each morning we had breakfast, a selection of Moroccan breads, jam, honey, marmalade and a cake (cakes and savoury pastries changed each day) as well as tea and coffee.
Our rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets without even asking, the rooms are very pretty and reflect Moroccan culture and art and the riad as a whole is stunning. There is also access to a rooftop terrace if you want to relax, have a smoke or enjoy the sun.
We were given clear directions and brochures for the medina and popular attractions and the staff answered all our questions, even offering to call and book restaurants for us if we needed. If you speak/understand French, English or any form or Arabic the staff can communicate in all 3. Great experience overall and would recommend booking as I believe it’s a very popular riad.
The people at the hotel where super friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile and lovely to talk to.
the quality breakfast that they served was amazing which was accompanied with a lovely Moroccan tea. the room itself was gorgeous, super cute with a lot of detail and the location is right in the medina, couldnt be better.

The property was very aesthetic and great for a couple to live in. Very central. You can’t get in directly through taxi but they drop you off at the nearby carpark and it’s a 4 minute walk to the riad. Breakfast is always very filling. The staff is very welcoming and hospitable. The lady would give an introduction about the property and Marrakech and offer Marrakech mint tea. They have towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided.

Βeautiful place to stay in the medina in a quiet street.
Helpful and friendly staff taking care of you anytime of the day. Moroccan hospitality at its best

This riad is wonderful, we felt like we were in 1001 Nights! The decoration is absolutely charming and in our room and bathroom there were even rose petals. The staff is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast is also very good.

Absolutely everything about this place is authentic and breathtaking. From the moment you arrive, you feel the warmth and charm of a truly special experience. The cleanliness is impeccable, every detail is carefully maintained, and the location is simply perfect—close to everything yet peaceful and inviting.
The breakfast is a true delight—diverse, fresh, and incredibly delicious, offering something for every taste. But what truly makes this place stand out is the exceptional hospitality. I must especially commend Azzddine, a kind and beautiful soul who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and cared for.
Our stay here was an experience to cherish. I can’t recommend it enough!
Spacious, quiet, lovely roof terrace

A haven of peace tucked away from the Medina. We arrived very late due to our flight being delayed and were welcomed with mint tea whilst completing the paperwork. Once the necessary forms were completed we wanted to go to our room straight away but were told 'not yet' as the road guardian talked us through various tours and spa packages associated with the Riad, we were too tired to take any of this in and found this a bit irritating. We were asked what time we would like breakfast which is served between 8am and 10am and then showed our room. The room was beautifully decorated, but had a lot of furniture and we had to move a few things around to be able to get from the bed to the bathroom in the night without crashing into things. The wooden doors to the room and window shutters were rather flimsy so it didn't feel very private. The room was very dim and no natural daylight could be seen until you open the doors where you could see daylight through the plastic roof over the interior courtyard. The room was also stuffy but the air conditioning worked a treat once you figure out how it works. The water from the hot tap was scalding hot but easily rectified by turning the cold water tap on. Good shower above the elaborate mosaic tiled bath.
Breakfast was very beige with lots of pastry, but they were delicious. As coffee lovers the one small pot was not sufficient and it took a long time to get more. Brush up on your French as their English is limited, but we did manage to communicate. We bought a bottle of water at the cost of two Euros which is thrice the price than the shops in the medina. You also need to pay a tourist tax which was around 160 MAD for three nights.
The riad is tricky to find but once you get used to navigating it's close to all the action. There's no key to get in the main entrance and you have to knock to get in but the guardian is always available to let you in and I wondered if he ever slept as we were in and out all hours.
Overall a pleasant authentic experience of staying in a Riad.
A beautiful and welcoming riad. This place felt like an oasis of peace in a very hectic city. The riad is ideally situated near all the main attractions but in a calm side street.
The staff were very friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was amazing and slightly different each morning.
Would we stay again, definitely! Thanks so much for making our stay in Marrakech so special.
I stayed at Bleu Du Sud over the new years break. The riad is a bit off the main drag (in fact my porter got extremely lost on his way!), but the isolation means you are close to the action of the medina while not listening to shouting touts and motorbikes. I never felt unsafe walking back as a solo female, even late at night.
The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make sure I was cared for, arranging service to the airport, making me breakfast packs when I had very early tours, assisting me with translation during a dispute over some carpets I bought, even allowing me to check out a bit late because I was having trouble packing up all my lovely purchases. Room was beautiful and had tons of space for placing bags and stretching out. Housekeeping kept everything immaculate, which can't be easy with so much fabric. The only downside was the spotty wifi on the 2nd floor, but I didn't come to Morocco to read twitter! I will definitely be staying again when I return to Marrakesh!
My girlfriend and I stayed here and found it to be a wonderful Riad. Right in the medina so easy walking access to all the sights and markets.
The staff were top class! Super helpful and friendly.
The breakfast spread each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day before venturing into Marrakech.
Would definitely recommend staying here when you visit.
Absolutely beautiful riad with lovely personnel like Rianna and Abdul. The breakfast was a winner despite the carbs. The location is great and quite centrally located.
The only downside, though no fault of the riad, is that the bathroom has a smell of sewage. This is I think is due to the system in the Médina and the riad tried wonderfully to mask it with fresheners.
Highly recommend this riad!
I decided to cancel my trip to Essaouira to spend another night in Marrakech but my riad was full which meant I had to change riads for the night. I found Riad Bleu du Sud and immediately felt at home. Rihanna was so welcoming. The only room was a superior double but it was reasonably priced and the it was so beautifully decorated. The whole place was spectacular. The breakfast was massive and varied.
It's situated a bit further back from the main pathways but it's worth the extra few steps. Spread the word!
This is one of the nicest roads I have used in four trips to Marrakech. The staff is wonderful. They are so helpful and really want you to be satisfied. Abdullah was so kind to serve an outstanding breakfast each morning.
We had a two night stay and the staff cannot do enough for one. Exceptional service from Rianah and Abdul. Breakfast is very good and the Riad provides a complete haven away from the Médina madness whilst being right in the thick of it all. I would recommend this Riad. No pool though, but very close to good Hammams.
I spent two nights in this well located Riad. It provides a perfectly serene escape from the Medina madness and they start the day with an exceptionally good breakfast. All good, but the best is the staff who cannot do enough for you. Thank you Rianah and Abdul for going the extra mile.
This place is a real gem located a very short walk from the hubbub of Marrakesh. Its a very authentic place, very clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff are great (props to Rabbir!) breakfast is amazing and really sets you up for the day. Just to note that I visited in November so was a little cooler, however I would guess this is a little Oasis of retreat in the warmer months. Hope to visit again soon.
I booked the Riad Bleu du Sud based on the prices, reviews, and the stunning photos of the riad, which looked prettier, more colorful, and more ornate than other riads. I was not disappointed. The staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming. I cannot stay enough great things about the staff. Every morning the delicious breakfast was different so that we could try a variety of local breads and pastries, in addition to fruit/yogurt. Coffee and tea were wonderful. Different colored tablecloth each day, and different colored towels each day in the rooms. The attention to detail was so appreciated. Breakfast was a moment of peace each day with the sound of a lovely fountain in the background. We were served a lovely tea upon arrival, and were offered lots of information about Marrakech. The room and entire riad were gorgeous. We stayed for about 4 days and were really sad to leave. The riad was quiet and I slept well. I would recommend arranging transportation from the airport through the riad in advance because that will greatly facilitate your arrival. We forgot to arrange for this even though it was available, and that meant we paid too much for a taxi and then ended up having to tip one of the "guides" in the neighborhood to lead us to the riad (it gets much easier navigating after your first day, but the first day in the medina is confusing without help). If I am lucky enough to return to Marrakech, I would very gladly stay at Riad Bleu du Sud again.
Riad Blue du Sud is an idillic, authentic hotel with close proximity to all places of interest in Marrakech. If you want to “leave” the culture and atmosphere of Morocco, you got to stay in this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is carefully made, very traditional and different every day! What makes the difference though it is the people that work in the hotel, from the General Manager to all support staff. Karim is the soul of the hotel, he is the man of everything, very helpful, polite, great customer service attitude! Thank you all for making our time so wonderful.
We will come back!
Stratos and Maria
We stayed in this Riad for 3 nights and everything was absolutely perfect. Location wise you can´t ask for better - 5 min away from everything. Outstanding breakfast. Room and lobby look like an art gallery - you won´t stop taking pictures. The staff will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Extremely well cleaned.
Gorgeous Riad and every detail is beautiful! Cannot get enough of taking photos!
We booked the Jasmine room. The room was spacious and clean.
The staff Karem was really helpful and responsible. Our room couldn’t connect WiFi and he tried his best to solve it.
Regarding the shower, hot water was limited and it can last about 10 mins.
Started a great morning with big breakfast on the rooftop.
Marrakech is a hectic city where you'll be bombarded with colors, sounds, crazy traffic, intense people and almost too many impressions to process for the uninitiated. Still, we can recommend this city to almost anybody. A large part of that, has to do with our home away from home. Our stay at Riad Bleu du Sud has been phenomenal!
The moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a genuine smile into an atmosphere straight out of a fairy tail. Great colors, great lighting and a tranquility you'll soon learn to appreciate even more. The moment you close the door of the building, you leave the craziness that is Marrakech behind and enter your oasis of peace.
The rooms are cleaned very thoroughly and are decorated functionally. It felt relaxing to be in them.
The food is great! You'll be served an amazing breakfast which was a little different every morning. Every evening we were asked how late we wanted to eat breakfast which made planning day trips around it very easy. We have tried eating dinner at the Riad as well and in my opinion it was one of the best meals we ate during our vacation. You'll pay a little more than in some other restaurants in the city, but definitely worth it.
I would like to make a special mention of Karim, who was our main host in the week we stayed at Bleu du Sud. It is very rare for me to meet someone in the hotel branche who is so welcoming and friendly as this man. Karim, thank you for making our stay as great as it was.
Great location in the center of the medina. Short walk to good restaurants nearby like Naranj and Chez Zaza, or a great hamam called Alphais.
For us, staying at Riad Bleu du Sud comes as VERY highly recommended!
We visited Riad Bleu for 4 nights and we both fall absolutely in love with it.
Rooms - as per promise , like on pictures , heating/ cooling working well, clean, fresh towels every day, extra towels , etc.
Riad has 5 rooms so it's nice family atmosphere. Breakfast with good selection of local pastries , changing every day. I loved fresh yogurt with pomegranate fruit.
Staff very friendly , offering help , speaking English, French and Italian (depends who).
Wifi working very well in whole riad.
Transport organized by Road worked very well both ways.
Central location - few minutes walk from main square of Medina. All attractions in Marrakech easy reachable by foot.
First day it was a bit complicated to find our way in Medina labyrinth, but with help of local app and maps from hotel it became easy.
Area is safe and good light in the evening.
Definitely recommend !
Mrs Khadija and Siam and all the personal from the riad bleu was amazing ans kind with us. It was my birthday, the same Moroccan night party, they bring to us a caftan for me and tunique for my fiancé, and bring a lovely handmade necklace left on my bed. Also, all petals of rose in the bedroom and bathroom with candles everywhere including in the bathtub float. So romantic!! They bring me a chocolate cake by surprise.
They bring us all all all the unformation needed and making our journey like a 1001 nights of arabic. We really enjoyed the stay and I highly recommended this place to everyone want to know the real, the oeigin and the morrocan hospitality. The food in the riad bleu are wonderful. The couscous the best that I ate in my whole life. They prearrange the cost of the taxi, the excursion are safe and recommended, just don't take the guide and do for yourself in Ouzoud, another lovely place and pay the transfer to go there. Go to the hammam in l'alambra as well as they recommend. It's really a good experience. The origin: a woman wash you entirely like the origin of real hammam. Forgot your habit and bring all the culture during your journey. If I back to Marrakwch, I'll only stay in the riad again. We was not feel like a guest, more like an invitate. Highly recommended!!!! Thank you for all, you are welcome at home.
From the moment I saw this hotel online I had my heart set on it and it definitely didn't disappoint! It is like stepping foot into a Moroccan palace! We were greeted with Moroccan tea and biscuits on arrival and shown to our stunning room on the ground floor, my only complaint about the room is that it was very dim. However it was cleaned to a very high standard every day. Unfortunately we arrived at night time which made finding the hotel through the winding alley ways a daunting task. I would recommend booking transport from the airport via the hotel before your visit as the airport taxi dropped us a 5 minute walk away from the hotel and left us to fend for ourselves.
